Santiago is an Ecuadorian geologist with more than 16 years of experience doing research, exploration, and development of mineral deposits, including copper-porphyry, epithermal, IOCG and SEDEX. Santiago graduated from the National Polytechnic School in Quito, and holds a Master’s degree from the Mineral Deposits Research Unit of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Since 2014 he has worked as the project manager of the Cascabel project for SolGold. Santiago is registered as a Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta in Canada and has been named a Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) Fellow.
