Maria Victoria Vélez

Maria Victoria is a civil engineer from the National University of Colombia (UNAL) with further studies from the Paris School of Mines. She was a professor at UNAL and she now serves as the manager of SHI. She has 40 years of experience in hydrogeological, hydrochemical and hydraulic studies and numeric models in groundwater as well as aquifer management plans and management of water resources. She has participated in baseline hydrogeological studies in mining projects, including: La Colosa, Gramalote, Quebradona, San Ramón, Buriticá, Guayabito and La Cumbre, and has participated as a technical expert in other important mining projects.
