Joe brings 38 years of experience in the mining sector, ranging from diversified mineral exploration, mining geology including resource estimation, project generation, and exploration management. He joined Outcrop as VP exploration in 2005 and became president & CEO in 2016. Previously Joe was senior exploration geologist for the Cortez JV and was a member of the exploration team who discovered the Cortez Hills deposit and ET Blue, subsequently a part of the Goldrush-Fourmile discovery in Nevada, USA now in development by Barrick Gold. Hebert is credited with team participation in multiple gold discoveries in Nevada and Utah. He was instrumental in building Outcrop’s team in Colombia and assembling its portfolio there. Joe’s experience in Colombia dates from 1997 when he was tasked to defining mineralisation controls in the Marmato District by extensive detailed mapping.
