Catherine Souza

Catherine is a chemical engineer from the Federico Santa María Technical University, with 29 years of experience in mining. At SGS she has worked for 14 years as project manager in metallurgy, evaluating projects mainly associated with copper and gold mining for many leading gold producers. These projects contemplated metallurgical processes such as cyanide leaching in bottles in rotary systems, cyanide leaching with mechanical agitation, CIL-CIP tests, recovery processes such as Merrill Crowe, leach diagnostic test, Knelson gravitational concentration tests, cyanide recovery tests by SART, environmental tests to detoxify cyanide as INCO process, caro acid and hydrogen peroxide.
