Biography

Javier’s carrera began at ISA and then at ISAGEN from where he moved in 1999 to UPME, the mining and energy planning agency. From 2006 through 2010 he worked as an advisor in Ingeominas, and from 2010 until 2014 he was an advisor to the Directorate of Mines in the Ministry of Mining & Energy where he was involved in the project to restructure the institutionality of the sector with the creation of the National Mining Agency (ANM) and subsequently advisor to the deputy mining minister. Now he is part of the ANM as a vice president responsible for accompaniment of projects of national interest (PINES) and other aspects of institutional contro land safety of the sector.
